Museum Hotel
One of Building Solutions more spectacular projects involved moving this hotel building across a major road.
The original waterfront site had become required for other purposes, though the building was relatively new.
In line with our reputation for coming up with original ideas and putting them into action Building Solutions moved this 3500 tonne building to a new site 250 metres across the street.

Optimation House
1 Grey Street, Wellington CBD, 12 Level Office Building.
Building Solutions successfully obtained the development agreement on this building in 2002 and the RB Steel team was responsible for the new fitout. At that time the building was tired and in need of refurbishment and new lifts and air-conditioning were installed.
The ground floor, retail and foyer were successfully refurbished over three years, taking ground floor rental from $300 per sq/m to $900-$1200 per sq/m.
This essentially repositioned the building for the next 20 years in the Wellington market.

Randwick Industrial Park
Building Solutions responded to the growing requirement of warehouses with high studs and started a programme of demolishing low-stud buildings and rebuilding in 10m to 12m stud.
Randwick Industrial Park is the first refurbishment; 6500 square metres was demolished and rebuilt in a 10m stud, now occupied by Laminex and Steel and Tube.
The front warehouse complex, 6000 sq/m was a vacant 1950s building with a saw tooth roof. It was demolished and rebuilt with the asbestos roof replaced.
Laminex was the first to lease 4000 sq/m, and Steel & Tube leased the remaining 2000 sq/m.
